About me
Hello, my name is Elena Topouzoglou. I am author and illustrator originally from Greece and now reside in London with my husband and our two young kids. After graduating from a BA in Film and Animation, I worked for 10 years as a Visual Effects Compositor. During this time I worked on the Oscar-winning movies Gravity and Hugo and many other well-known films such as Beauty and the Beast, Paddington Bear and Harry Potter. My love for books, drawing and the influence of my sons love for children's books led me to study and graduate with an MA in children's book illustration from Middlesex University. I work mainly with watercolour, ink, screen printing and finish the artwork digitally. I am passionate about penguins, picture books and films. My first picture book "Mr Pegg's Post' is now out and working on finishing my second book that is due to be published next year. |
